James Harden Shelton

James Harden Shelton, age 84, of Danville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Shelton was born on August 18, 1941, to the late Mary Roberts Shelton and Alfred Nathan Shelton.

Mr. Shelton was a working man who took pride in taking care of his family.

Mr. Shelton is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Juanita Cunningham Shelton; his daughter, Robin Hundley; sister, Hazel Webb; grandchildren, Nathan Hundley (Beth), Ben Hundley, Levi Hundley (Darcie), and Daniel Hundley. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, James is predeceased by his granddaughter, Faith Elizabeth Hundley.

The family will have private services to celebrate Mr. Shelton’s life at a later date.
