Sammy Lee Robertson

Sammy Lee Robertson, 83, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025. Sammy was born in Danville, VA on August 19, 1942 to the late Anna Meadows Robertson and the late Dillard Lee Robertson. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Barbara Ann Lipscomb Robertson.

Sammy was of the Christian Faith and a longtime member of Hollywood Baptist Church. He worked for many years at Dan River Mills Previous, and later retired from Intertape.

In addition to his wife, Sammy is survived by five sons; Donovan Rivera and wife Angel of Rustburg, VA, Anthony Mazza and wife Maria of Raleigh, NC, Claud Mazza of Danville, VA, Danny Robertson and wife Pam of Concord, NC, and Cliff Robertson of North Carolina; three special grandson’s; Isaac Robertson, Dakota Rivera, and John Rivera; along with numerous other Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; and a special Cousin Patsy Meadows.

In addition to his Parents, Sammy was predeceased by a special Cousin, Tommy Meadows.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2025 at 1:00pm at Hillcrest Burial Park, Chatham, VA with Pastor Terry St. John Officiating.

The family suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Hollywood Baptist Church, 6409 Callands Road, Chatham, VA 24531.
