Agnes Hicks

Agnes Annette Anderson Hicks, age 80, of 116 Falcon Ridge Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia died on Monday, December 29, 2025 at her residence.

Agnes was born on June 6, 1945 in Prince, West Virginia to the late James William Anderson and Helen Josephine McKay Anderson. She was a homemaker throughout her life and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed bowling, basket weaving, and spending time with her family. She was also an avid fan of NASCAR.

In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Steven Hicks; a son, James McFall; two brothers, Charlie Anderson and Jim Bob Anderson; and a sister, Jeannievell Grubb.

She is survived by a son, David McFall of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Geritzi Carlton of Covington and Brenda Wolleyhand of Dover, DE; four brothers, Jack Anderson (Carol) of Clifton Forge, Donald Anderson of Prince, WV, Howard Anderson of Beckley, WV, and David Anderson (Margie) of Florida; a sister-in-law, Diane Hicks Turner (Greg); five grandchildren, McKenzie, Alex, Zach, Shelby, and Aiden; a great granddaughter, Phoebe; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Green Sulphur, West Virginia.
