Carol June Caldwell

Carol June Caldwell, 84, widow of Leon B. Caldwell, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Hollis and Virginia Casell Deeds.

June was a devoted homemaker who spent her days caring for her sons and husband. Her devotion and care were evident in everything she did. Along with Leon, she was a member of Fincastle Baptist Church for many years and later North Roanoke Baptist Church. She was a gifted pianist and organist, she directed the children’s choir, and was involved in many other areas of service. In more recent years she attended Melrose Baptist Church.

She will be missed and remembered by her sons and their wives, Douglas L. Caldwell (Christine), and David A. Caldwell (Dawn); grandchildren, Chase A. Caldwell and Brianna Larkin Caldwell; sister, Margaret Randolph.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Mofield officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am until the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Foundation or to Melrose Baptist Church.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the entire staff of 3 East at Lewis Gale for the care they have taken of June and the family.
