Melissa Jo Foster

Melissa Jo Foster, 51, of Gladstone, VA, passed away on December 30, 2025, at her home. She was the loving wife of Michael Allen Foster.
Born in Fredrick, MD, on November 9, 1974, she was the daughter of Patricia Dale Carter Soper and the late James Ellsworth Soper.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by five children, Kyle Bryan Morrison, Gregory James Morrison (Taylor Nicole), Jessica Lynn Morrison Robertson (Frederick), Hailey Alexandra Morrison, and Jasmine Alexis Mattera; eight grandchildren, Melaiyha, Aubrie, Ethan, Kaleigha, Alissa, Ellieana, Levi, and Mikey; two brothers, Christopher Adam Soper and Sean Daniel Soper; five aunts and uncles, Hunter E. Bailey, Geraline “Bean” Bailey, Walter Hampton Bailey, Linda Faye Skeens, and Gloria Daphne Hartman; and two nieces and one nephew, Kalyn Soper, Skylin Soper, and Nathen Soper.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by, one sister, Tennille Lynn Soper; one sister-in-law, Julie Soper; and one aunt, Barbara Allen Golob.
A funeral service will be held 2pm, Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Ronald Mosley. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Buckingham, VA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
