Anna Margaret Pruitt Rigney

Anna Margaret Pruitt Rigney, 83, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026. Anna was born on April 17, 1942 in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Texie Irene Pruitt Lepley and the late Russell Buster Pruitt. She was predeceased by her loving husband of many years, Mr. Raleigh Vincent Rigney.

Anna was of the Christian Faith. She worked for many years previous to her retirement at Healthtex.

Anna is survived by a daughter; Christy R. Crews of Danville, VA; two sons; Mitchell Rigney (Becky Bowling), and Vincent Rigney (Deanna Rigney); three brothers; Tyree Pruitt, Danny Pruitt and Dwight Lepley; a sister: Evelyn Walker; five grandchildren; Heath Rigney, Christopher Crews, Maddie Crews, Travis Rigney, and Allison Crews; and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Anna was predeceased by a son; Tony Bonner; and special daughter; Mary Rigney.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 2:00pm at Highland Burial Park, with Pastor Joey Bray officiating.
