Rose Lee Higginbotham Cyrus

Rosa Lee Higginbotham Cyrus, 92, of Appomattox, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Rosa was born on August 6, 1933, to the late Alfred Cleo Higginbotham and Mary Elizabeth Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Clayton William Cyrus Sr. and one son, Clayton William Cyrus Jr. (“Tator”); as well as five brothers and two sisters: Orville, Belle, Harry, Pete, Cecil, Margaret, and Butch.
She is survived by one son Ronnie Cyrus and wife, Beverly, one granddaughter, Courtney Gunn and husband, Brian, and three great grandsons, Henry, Peter and Robert.
She enjoyed a long retirement from Appomattox Garment Factory. Rosa was a faithful member of Reedy Spring Baptist Church for many years. The family would like to thank the folks at Babcock Manor for their help and loving care for Rosa over the last couple of years.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 2 pm, Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Reedy Spring Baptist church. The family will be receiving friends at the home of Ronnie and Beverly, 2849 Cedar Bend Rd. Appomattox.
