Sara Clement Prillaman

November 10, 1936 - January 10, 2026

Sara Clement Prillaman, 89, passed away on January 10, 2026. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Donald G. Prillaman.

A woman of profound faith in God, Sara shared her heart and values by teaching Sunday School for many years. She met the world with a joyful outlook and a quick wit that brightened the lives of everyone she encountered. Her life was a testament to her character, defined by her generosity, her spirit of self-sacrifice, and a remarkable perseverance that she carried with grace.

As the youngest of seven children, Sara remained deeply connected to her family throughout her life. She is survived by her sisters, Betty C. Dickerson and Virginia C. Ham, and was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence Jesse "Jack," Eugene, and Ernest Clement, and her sister, Barbara Bush.

Her memory will be cherished by her children, C. Alton Prillaman (Kathy), Raymond Prillaman, and Vicki Sotack (Bob), and her four grandchildren, Elaina Wenger (Tyler), Zachary Prillaman, Nathan Sotack, and Jaiden Sotack. She also leaves behind multiple generations of beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Due to illness within the family, arrangements include a private graveside service on January 14. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2026 to honor the warmth and light she brought into the world. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Chapel. (540)366-0707.
