George William Seay

George William Seay, 78, of Bumpass, Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Charlotte Ann Seay.

Born in Lynchburg on August 15, 1947, George was the son of the late Emma Jean Wooldridge Seay. He was a graduate of Brookville High School and retired after many years as an auto mechanic with Dominion Chevrolet.

In his spare time, George enjoyed building model cars and trains. He was a devoted NASCAR fan and also took great pleasure in watching movies and listening to country music.

He is survived by two daughters, Tamara Renee Baber and her husband, Doug, and Deborah Ann Seay; and two cherished grandchildren, Gianna Renee Petrella and Luca Dominic Petrella.

A service celebrating George’s life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, with Chaplain Jerry Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
