Lewis Wayne Parrish

Lewis W. Parrish, 78, loving husband of Deena A. Parrish passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. He was the son of the late Clay and Hazel Brown Parrish. He was also preceded in death by 3 sisters.

Lewis spent his career as a residential contractor, but his hobby was laughter. Making people laugh, joking and having a good time were what he loved.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, Deena A. Parrish, he will be missed and remembered by his daughters, Michelle Edmondson, and Sherri Smith (Earle); grandchildren, Corey Umberger, Kayley Mitchell (Andrew), Ryan Edmondson, and Casey Guthrie (Brayden); 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 1 brother; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends too many to mention by name.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 3:30 to 5:30 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road. There will be a brief time of remembrance at 4:00, where guests will have an opportunity to share a memory of Lewis.
