Clarence Lewis "Lewbo" McDearmon, Jr.

June 21, 1938 - January 25, 2026

C. Lewis “Lewbo” McDearmon, Jr., 87, of Appomattox, died on January 25, 2026. He was the husband of the late Cheryl Brooks McDearmon.
Born on June 21, 1938, he was a son of the late Willie Guthrie Anderson McDearmon and C. Lewis McDearmon, Sr. He was the owner and operator of Appomattox Oil Company until his retirement. Lewis loved motorcycle riding and was an active member of CMA #1117 Iron Witness and a member of Appomattox Court House Presbyterian Church. He was very invested in the Town of Appomattox, serving on the Appomattox Town Council and the town EDA.
He is survived by four children, Cecelia M. Dicken and husband, Jeff of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, “Mac” McDearmon, III and wife, Monica of Richmond, Patrick Lair, III and wife, Olivia of Austin, TX, and Ruth “Rudee” L. Almond and husband, Scott of Spout Spring; numerous grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Anna Lair, a good friend, Jeri Paquin; and his stepmother, Alice Kelsey.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Appomattox Court House Presbyterian Church officiated by Pastor Carlos Malave. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
