Geneva Duncan Blosser
Geneva Duncan Blosser of Salem, Va. passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Orlo Warren Blosser, Jr. and their daughter, Sandra Leigh Blosser. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Minnie Duncan, brothers: Ural (Emmaline), Carl (Ginny), Richard “Buck” (Wanda), James “Jim” (Avalee); Sisters – Georgie, Dorothy Gearheart (William “Bill”). She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Geneva was a dedicated wife and mother, and she loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed the visits from her great-great nephews and niece- they brought her so much joy.
Geneva was born on Nov. 25, 1929, in Salem, Va. She graduated from Andrew Lewis High School. She worked at the Virginia Highway Department (VDOT) after graduating from high school until her retirement. She and her husband lived in Salem for many years and then moved to Craig County for 33 years, until returning back to Salem in 2013.
Funeral services will be held at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, Va. on Wednesday, January 4, with visitation at 1 p.m. followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. Interment will be private at a later time.
