Thelma Reynolds Hairston

Thelma Reynolds Hairston, 94, of Patrick Springs, Va passed away on January 30, 2026 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection. She was born on October 11, 1931 to the late Ellen Roselee Cobb and Theodore Roosevelt Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two husbands, Paul Street, Columbus Hairston, one son, Dallas Scott, brothers, Theodore Reynolds, Bishop James Reynolds, Oscar Reynolds, Paul Reynolds, Loir and Moir Reynolds, David Reynolds, and Bishop Willie Reynolds, one sister, Frances Clanton, one great-grandchild, Carson Street.

She was a member of Mount Herman Church of The Brethern. Mrs Hairston began her Christian walk at Mt Nebo Holiness Church then she was led to New Life in Christ Church. She retired from Patrick Community Memorial Hospital after many years of service, then she worked as a private duty nurse.

She is survived by one sister, Virginia Mattox. One daughter, Doris Hughes. sons, Don (Lisa) Street, James (Helena) Street, Richard , Walter Street, Carolyn (Ricky) Sykes, Mary Lee (Lee) Robinson, grandchildren, Evelyn, Joanne, Katrina, Carissa, Eric, Brandy, Tyler, Tshaka, eleven great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren, special niece, Janet Penn and host of nieces and nephews.Special children, Nelson and Don Thomas, Clarence, Kyle, Natalie McGhee and Avery Preston, Annie Sue Gilley and Amy Essick.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday February 9, 2026 at Norris Funeral Chapel with Pastor Noel Naff officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mt Nebo Church.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Norris Chapel.
