Kimberly Dawn St. John Mattox
On February 4, 2026, Kimberly Dawn St. John Mattox entered the gates of Heaven and was joyfully reunited with her beloved parents, whom she missed so deeply. After a courageous 16-month battle with lung cancer, Kim is finally at peace.
Kim was born on January 24, 1963, to the late William “Bill” St. John and Frances Wilson St. John. Her legacy lives on through those who loved her most: her devoted husband, Ron Mattox; her daughter, Carrie Mattox Smulik, and husband Jeremy; her son, Christopher Mattox, and wife Katheryn; her four cherished grandchildren, Evie Smulik, Dawson Smulik, William Mattox, and Lucy Mattox; her brother, David St. John, and wife Julianne and her nephew Logan Delong and wife Haley.
Kim’s greatest joy was her family — both the one she was born into and the one she and Ron built together. She took pride in working alongside Ron at their family business, Timberlake Outdoor Power, where she spent countless hours assisting customers, not only with repairs but with genuine personal care. She deeply valued the relationships she formed there.
Outside of work, Kim loved shopping with her daughter, decorating her home, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures — caring for her family, tending to her home, and sharing meals together. Above all, the title she treasured most was “MeMaw.” Time spent with her grandchildren was the highlight of her days and the greatest joy of her life. Kim’s life was one of unwavering devotion to her family.
A service celebrating Kim’s life and faith will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, with Pastor Scott Bullman officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Pike Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
