Irene L. Quisenberry

Irene L. Quisenberry, at 91, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February, 8, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband, Jonas K. Quisenberry, and sister Gerri Hardy.

Irene was the best Mom ever. She had a beautiful alto voice and loved singing in the Singing Saints choir at church. She truly enjoyed her Rebecca Sunday School class.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Lynnis Vernon, and Joni and Bill Mercer; grandchildren, Christopher Mercer, and Amanda (Justin) Arrington, and great-grandson Owen Arrington; and brother, Bobby Law; sisters-in-law, Peggy Johnson and Evelyn Quisenberry.

Per Irene's request there will be no visitation, no service and no flowers. Memorials may be made to the building fund at North Roanoke Baptist Church, 6402 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, Va. 24019. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory, 540-366-0707.
