Jackie Frazier Woods

June 5, 1954 - February 7, 2026

Sunday Feb. 7, 2026 Jackie was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jackie was born in Martinsville, VA. on June 5, 1954 to the late James “Curly” Frazier and Charlotte Faye Frazier.

June 26, 1998 Jackie married the love of her life Alan Woods. For 28 years they shared a life together that was full of love, adventure, trials, and victories. Together they enjoyed going to concerts and traveling. The Oakridge Boys being one of her all-time favorites. They would take off on a three-hour trip just to go to their favorite pizza place.

Jackie was passionate about her family. No matter the circumstances, she always held onto her faith and never gave up on them. I know that she would want me to encourage you if you have a loved one in addiction to never stop praying for them because you never know when you may see a miracle.

She was able to see this miracle firsthand through her children and it brought her great joy and restored her faith.

Jackie had a deep love for cats, Wee-Woe, Cookie, Missy, Ki-ki, Toby, Lil Bit, and Sammie to name a few. Most of which were strays and she never met one that she wouldn’t take in and fall in love with.

Being a homemaker was a calling for her, and their home is full of her creativity. So, Whenever you see a bright pink flamingo, smile and think of Jackie. She simply thought that they were beautiful. She would count down the days till spring. She loved the warm weather, and you could tell by all the beautiful flowers that she had planted all over the yard. She found peace and serenity at the beach. She always found joy in the small things, sitting at her table with a cold diet mountain dew watching the hummingbirds and doing diamond art. She is Ariana’s hero and now an angel looking over us from heaven.  Jackie will be deeply missed and her abundant love for her family will never be forgotten. She will forever be loved and treasured.

Left to cherish her memory, her husband, Alan Woods; Son James (Kay) Purdy; Daughter, Ariana Woods; Stepdaughter, Christy Woods Agee; Brothers, Jimmy & Johnny Frazier; Grandson, Christian (Maria) Deatherage; Step Grandson, Alan Michael Agee; Step Granddaughter, Kaden Johnson; and Sister-n-law Janet Woods.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, with a funeral service immediately following. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Salem.

The family wishes to express our gratitude for all the prayers, support, and compassion that we have received during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Jackie to the Franklin County Animal Shelter 81 State Street, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
