Loretta Oliver
Loretta Ann St. Clair Oliver, 73, of Roanoke, Virginia passed away on February 12, 2026, at South Roanoke Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 21, 1952, in Roanoke to Alfred D. "Buck" St. Clair and Lucille St. Clair, Loretta graduated from William Byrd High School in 1972. She dedicated 45 years to a distinguished career at Carilion, where she was known for her compassion and commitment to patients, colleagues, and visitors.
At age 13, Loretta met Mike, and their love grew into a 54-year marriage following their high school graduation. She is survived by her husband Mike; son Richie Oliver and his fiancee Nicole; daughter Amanda Martin and her husband Basil; grandchildren Alexis Lubosch and LJ Basham, Bryson Oliver, and Kinley Oliver; and great-grandson Larry D. "Trey" Basham III. She is also survived by her loving puppy, Spanky.
Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She cherished family above all, attending countless sporting events as her children's and grandchildren's biggest fan. She loved the beach, the mountains, and traveling with her family. An avid animal lover, she never missed an opportunity to show kindness to any pet she encountered.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of South Roanoke Nursing Home and Good Samaritan Hospice for their exceptional care and support.
A celebration of Loretta's life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 6 - 8 PM at the Reserve in Daleville located at 25 Daleville Lane, Virginia 24083. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or a local animal shelter in Loretta's memory.
