Nora Hodges Hunt

Nora Hodges Hunt, age 81 of Penhook passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026. She was born January 11, 1945, a daughter of the late Newton Edward Hodges, Sr. and Sue Emma Johnson Hodges. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Newton Hodges, Jr. and Phillip Hodges; and nephew, Scott Hodges. Surviving are her two children, Raymond Lee Hunt and Linda Booth; two grandchildren, Amber Rowe (Tim) and Gary Henderson, Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Aubrey Hunt, Lydia Elaina Nora Rowe, Amelia Rowe and Tristan Thomas; sister, Carol Johnson (Bayes); two sisters-in-law, Patty Hodges and Juanita Custer. Nora was retired from the Herrick House Group Home in Rocky Mount where she served as Manager for many years. A graveside service will be held at the Hodges Family Cemetery (North Main Street), 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2026 with Mrs. Patty Hodges officiating. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
