Jeffrey McCoy

Jeffrey Allan McCoy, age 65, of Clifton Forge, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.

Jeff was born on November 9, 1960 in Clifton Forge to the late Bobby and Alma Campbell McCoy. He was a highly skilled refrigeration and air conditioning technician. He had a huge heart and was always helping others with heating and air conditioning systems. Jeff was also an avid hunter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kim Campbell McCoy, and father-in-law, Walter Campbell.

He is survived by his two sons, Bobby McCoy of Radford and Walter McCoy of Middleburg, FL; two sisters, Vickie McCoy Garrett of Phoenix, AZ and Lorrie McCoy Mynes of Staunton; his mother-in-law, Suzanne Campbell of Covington; several nephews, Gary Wayne Garrett, Evan Garrett, Jason Fender, Ritchie Fender, Jacob Gump, Sammy Armentrout, and Brian Graham, all of Virginia; several nieces, DeAnna Beatty, Kristen Mynes, Taylor Armentrout, Brittany Graham, Jordan Simmons, and Courtney Franklin, all also of Virginia. In addition, he is survived by several great nieces and great nephews, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Mr. George Broughman officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. The family will visit with friends on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home. Following the service, a meal will be provided for family and friends at Lifehouse, 601 Granville Ave, Clifton Forge.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions for the purposes of assisting the family cover the expenses of Jeff’s funeral service.
