Flora Eula Morehead Harner

FLORA EULA MOREHEAD HARNER, 69, of Rocky Gap, VA, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026. She was born March 25, 1956 in Bluefield, WV, the daughter of the late William & Beulah Morehead.

Flora believed in family first and would take charge and keep everyone together. She loved her children and was proud of her grandchildren.

She was a very proud school bus driver for Bland County Public Schools for 34 plus years.

She was an avid gardener and loved all flowers. She enjoyed mowing if she was using the right mower.

She was considered the best cook in Bland County by her family and is remembered for her delicious homemade meals made daily.

Flora was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and she will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clarence & Beulah Lee Caldwell Morehead, her brother David Morehead, a special nephew, Michael Earnest Morehead and a special niece, Kelsey Ann Groseclose.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of over 41 years, Timothy Harner; her children, Angel Leftwich, Jessica & Steve Turner, of TX, and Evan Harner & Emily Lewis;  her beloved grandchildren, Sydnie Stowers, Nolan Turner, Carolina Turner, Palmer Gibson, Nora Gibson and Piper Harner; her sisters & brother-in-law, Joyce Hayes and Carla & Mike Eidson; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tommy & Kathy Harner; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A celebration of life gathering is planned for Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Rocky Gap Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
