Betty Lou Money Wilmoth

Mrs. Betty Lou Money Wilmoth, 84, of Thurmond, North Carolina, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026. Born October 10, 1941, in Surry County to the late John Harvey and Millye Mae Payne Money. Betty worked for many years as a seamstress at Perrys Manufacturing. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Alvin Wilmoth; grandchildren, Candy Lineberry and Lee, Nathan Nixon, and Karla Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Mika Lineberry, Charlie Lineberry, Alan Eugene Lineberry, Miriam Wilmoth, and Joseph Wilmoth; and sister and brother-in-law, Verna Mae Tysor and Leon. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene “Gene” Wilmoth; daughter and son-in-law, Vicky Wilmoth Nixon and Gregory; son, Brian Keith Wilmoth; grandson, Keith Wilmoth; daughter-in-law, Candy Wilmoth; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl Richardson and Doug, and brother and sister-in-law, James Woodrow Money and Beverly. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, at Moody-Davis Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, at 2:00 PM in the Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the Wilmoth family.
