Mary McGinley

Mary Jo Grenwis McGinley, 82, of Marietta, GA, peacefully went to the house of the Lord on January 27, 2026.

Born on December 12, 1943, in Cleveland, OH, Mary Jo was the cherished daughter of the late Frederick Arthur Grenwis and Margaret O’Connor Grenwis. She was raised in Florida, where she developed her love of family, and was a proud graduate of Florida State University. Following her graduation, Mary Jo built a career in fashion merchandising and later in the insurance industry in Atlanta, GA.

Above all, Mary Jo was devoted to her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Michael Hoge McGinley of Marietta, GA (originally of Narrows, VA); her daughter, Meghan Belle McGinley; her son, Mike H. McGinley; her daughter-in-law, Allison G. McGinley; and her beloved grandson, Isaac Michael McGinley.

She will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, and the deep love she shared with those around her.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Arthritis Foundation. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Pearisburg, VA, at 11am on March 12, 2026. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows, VA.
