Stephen Peroneau Merricks, 83, passed away peacefully at his residence on February 28, 2026. Stephen was born in Danville, VA on July 26, 1942 to the late Agnes Dodson Merricks and the late Loyd Merricks. Stephen was also predeceased by a sister; LeeAnn Merricks.
Stephen is survived by numerous cousins. He is also survived by his special caregiver; Christy Stone.
A private graveside service will be held at Chatham Burial Park, Chatham, VA.
