Amanda Eanes Carter

Amanda Eanes Carter, age 46, of Dry Fork, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at her residence. Amanda was born May 29, 1979, in Pittsylvaia County to Sheila Ann Hines Eanes and Randy Neal Eanes. She was married to the late Barry Lynn Carter, II.

Amanda was a wonderful mother and Gigi. She graduated from Tunstall High School in 1997. She worked as a CNA before health issues, then became a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and creating lasting memories together. She is now reunited with her dad and husband in heaven, where she will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Her sons survive her: Jeremy Neal Carter (Maddie) of Reidsville, NC, Bryson Trae Carter (Grace) of Dry Fork, VA, Dylan Nathaniel Carter (Elena) of Dry Fork, VA; grandchildren, Colton Carter, Oaklynn Carter, and Paisley Carter.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Service, Mt Hermon Chapel, with Pastor Jackie Poe officiating. A visitation will be held before the funeral from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the family cemetery in Dry Fork, VA.
