George William Hartless

George William Hartless, 100, of Elliston, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2026.Born to Herman and Violet Hartless on Friday, April 10, 1925, in Rockbridge County, Va.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Esther Hartless; daughter, Valerie Yates; and son, Danny Hartless.Those left to cherish in his memory include his children, Kathy Sexton, Karen Morris, Judy Smith (Stewart), and Nathan Hartless (Becky); brother, Kenneth Hartless; grandchildren, Michelle, Kim, Glenn, Hope, Jennifer, Julie, Bo, Jessica, Justin, and Tim; fifteen great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren.A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, in the Upper Parlor of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem.
