Margaret Lafon Vaught

Margaret Lafon Vaught, 92, of Newport, met her Lord and Savior face to face and had a joyful reunion with Oliver Bryant Vaught Sunday, March 15, 2026.  She was born on December 19, 1933 to the late Ernest and Della Kingrea Lafon.  She is preceded in death and survived by many loving family members and friends.The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM in Birchlawn Abbey in Birchlawn Burial Park.  A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, March 19, 2026  at 2:00 PM in Birchlawn Abbey which will be officiated by Pastor Stanley Smith of Auburn Baptist Church.Words cannot begin to express the gratitude and love that goes out to everyone at Commonwealth Assisted Living/Memory Care in Christiansburg, CenterWell Home Health and Gentiva Hospice.
