Dwight "Corky" Myers McCormack

Dwight Myers “Corky” McCormack, II, 65, of Roanoke passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight Myers McCormack and Jean Tucker McCormack.

Corky was a 1979 graduate of Northside High School where he played football and baseball. He was employed by Altec Industries.

Surviving are his sons, Brett McCormack (Kaitlyn) and Travis McCormack; grandchildren, Easton, Ashlyn and Bree McCormack; sister, Tammy McCormack Thompson (Steve); nieces and nephews, Whitney, Ellen “Crickett”, Steven, and Kevin.

A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 540-366-0707
