Michael Lynn Walton

Michael Lynn Walton, 66, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born in Danville, VA on January 19, 1960, to the late Frances Chenault Walton and the late Earl Clayton Walton.

Michael was of the Christian Faith, and a member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church. Michael worked for many years as a mechanic previous to his retirement.

Michael is survived by his wife, Donna Walton; two daughters; Megan Browning and husband Russel Jr. of Keeling, VA and Nora Walton of Danville, VA; a son; Ricky Cook Jr. of Danville, VA; two brothers; David Walton and Larry Walton (Kathy); eight grandchildren; Devan, Madison, Elizabeth, Mason, Kamden, Paisleigh, Brantley, and Makinley; and two great grandchildren; Waylon and Rylee.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 2:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA with Pastor Carl Burger officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service on the same day from 1-2:00pm also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA.
