Cynthia Pressley Yeatts

June 30, 1950 - March 23, 2026

Cynthia Pressley Yeatts, 75, of Danville, VA peacefully passed away at her home after a courageous battle with cancer on March 23, 2026. She was born on June 30, 1950, in Danville to the late Thelma Neely. She was surrounded by friends and family and the sounds of joy of the children she adored.

Mrs. Yeatts was a child of God and a member and Music Director of Schoolfield Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was the best friend to everyone she knew. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed. She worked for many years as an accountant for Showcase Magazine.

She is survived by a son, Andrew Scott Brooks of Danville, six stepchildren, Cindy Arnn, Brian Astin, Angela Dalton, Thomas Yeatts, Troy Yeatts and Tony Yeatts. She is also survived by grandchildren, Brighton Brooks, James Brooks, and Victoria Gray, as well as great-grandchildren, Blaise Brooks, Ryder Brooks, Rhyatt Somsen, and Nash Campbell; and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren she adored. In addition, she is survived by a brother, Michael Wayne Pressley and a devoted friend, Moriah Davis. She was married to Thomas Yeatts, Sr.

Mrs. Yeatts was predeceased by a son, Anthony Paul Brooks, sisters, Brenda Diane Kirk and Renee Carol Layne and a grandchild Ashley Brooks.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Norris West End Chapel, Danville, VA. Interment will immediately follow at Schoolfield Cemetery, Danville. A visitation by friends and family will be held on the same day prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., also at Norris West End Chapel.
