Faye Woodson Mackiewicz

Faye Woodson Mackiewicz, 79, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 26, 2027, surrounded by her loving family. Faye was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on June 18, 1946 to the late Elizabeth McKinney Woodson and the late George Woodson. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of many years, Mr. Aleksander Mackiewicz.

Faye was of the Christian Faith. She worked for many years as a Safety Director/ Facilitator, previous to her retirement.

Faye is survived by two daughters; Terri Bailey of Danville VA and Jerri Burkett (Joe), also of Danville, VA; a sister; Brenda Breeden; a brother; David Woodson (Alice); a step daughter; Sandy Mueller (Bobby); eight grandchildren; Allison Bailey (Will), Ereyk Darden, Whitney Bailey, Kaela Redden (Josh), Christian Darden, Christopher Taylor, Jacob Burkett, and Reese Mueller; six great grandchildren; Jorja, Aleksa, Avery, Grace, Bentley, and Emma; and special friends, Nancy Oakley and Tom Brown.

In addition to her parents, and loving husband, Faye was predeceased by a daughter; Sherry Rae Davis; and five sisters; Frances Redd, Mildred Reynolds, Shirley Jean Swider, Sue Phillippi, and Patricia Green.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 11:00am at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA, with Pastor Jerry Flanigan officiating. A visitation will be held on the same day prior to the service from 10-11:00am, also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel.
