Martina Erb

Martina Gabriella Erb, 54, of Blue Ridge, VA via Vienna, Austria went triumphantly home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on March 5, 2026. She has received a new body, which can never be corrupted with disease, ever again.

She is preceded in death by her natural parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hirsch of Vienna, Austria and her adopted parents, Peter and Sandy Erb. She is survived by her best friend, fiancé, and ever present caretaker and love, John Howell along with his mother, Audrey Howell.

Martina lived a life which brought her a great distance from Vienna, Austria and the rich history of that city, through Bermuda and the Bahamas, to the Florida Keys, then up to Virginia, from where she was thoroughly adopted and shown what love is by John and his Mother.

Those who truly knew her and claimed her as a friend, will know that she loved them and never once complained in spite of the many medical hardships that she had to endured, because she had Love.

Martina accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior shortly before her passing, and through that knowledge it can be exclaimed that she will never be in pain again, never have to know illness or misery or anything resulting from the conditions she had to endure. All of that was defeated by Jesus Christ, on the cross, once and forever.

Martina was simply the best friend, love, employer, and many other things I have ever encountered. Her memory will never fade, and it will not be allowed to.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 28, 2026 at 12PM at Sherwood Memorial Park.
