Larry Kenneth Mccoy

Larry Kenneth McCoy, age 80, of McCoy, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026, at his home. He was born in Christiansburg, VA, on November 21, 1945, to the late Ivan Laverne “Buck” and Pearl Jane Fagg McCoy and was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Yvonne Kessinger McCoy, and sisters, Dorothy M. Albert, Fleta M. Tickle, Clarabell M. Helvey, Betsy M. McCoy, Rosemary McCoy and brothers, Marvin McCoy, Erie Carroll McCoy, Ira Harold McCoy and Russell McCoy. Larry was a member of Blacksburg Christian Church. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. Serving with Special Landing Forces LPH of the U.S.S. Okinawa, during the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his daughter, Lorie McCoy (Doug Davis); son, Blake McCoy; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Derhonda and Robert Cline, and John and Frances McCoy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Blacksburg Christian Church with the Rev. J.B. Beane and Rev. Gary McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in the McCoy Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, VA.
