Nedra Baker Womack
Nedra Baker “Nana” Womack, 95, of Appomattox, VA, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving wife of the late James C. Womack, Jr.
Born in Appomattox, VA, on May 20, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Ora Harvey and H. Dillard Baker. Nedra was a member of Evergreen Methodist Church and retired from Amelia Dress Company, INC.
She is survived by two sons, James H. “Jimmie” Womack and wife, Gay of Evergreen, and Carlton E. Womack and wife, Kathy of Appomattox; five grandchildren, Rodney (Mandee), Rhonda, Craig (Susan), Joey, Kevin; ten great-grandchildren, Austin, Autumn, Quinton, Cameron, Carrington, Addie, Gavin, Finlee, Annalise, Blake; and six great-great grandchildren, Londyn, Presley, Berkley, Blakeleigh, Bentley, Lucy; and two special friends, Edna Francis and Stella Carter; and a special grandchild, Chandler Harvey.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Baker; and infant brother, Hugh Baker; and her best friend and sister-in-law, Maybelle Womack.
A funeral will be held at 3 pm, on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Evergreen United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Eric Hernandez and Gus Paulette. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at her home.
