Stephen Stanley Levchak

Stephen Stanley Levchak Sr., passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Stephen was born on May 22, 1956 in Kearny, NJ to the late Sheila Wilkinson Levchak and the late Stanley Levchak. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Barbara Buchko Levchak.

Stephen was of the Catholic Faith and attended St. Josephs Catholic Church, Martinsville, VA. Stepehen worked for many years as a police lieutenant for the Kearny, NJ Police Department, prior to his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Stephen is survived by a daughter; Sheila Laudin (Benjamin) of Keller, TX; three sons; Joshua Levchak (Heather) of Lafayette, IN, Stephen Levchak Jr. (Lisa) of Kearny, NJ, and Christopher Levchak (Sofia) of Fairfield, NJ; a sister Sharon Levchak (John); a brother; Tommy Levchak; seven grandchildren; Noah, Elizabeth, EmmaJean, Trey, Lucas, Annabelle, and Abrielle; and his special friends; Lee and Susan Gibson and their daughter Leigh Anne.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Norris Funeral Service, Chatham Chapel, 147 S. Main Street Chatham, VA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 2481 Spruce Street, Martinsville, VA 24112 with Father Santos Ramirez officiating.
