Nancy Lewis
Nancy Campbell Lewis, 66, of Salem, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026. Born August 29, 1959, in Roanoke, Va., to the late Anna Dodson and Frank W. Campbell, she is also preceded in death by her grandparents, Ollie and Dewey Campbell and Dorethia and Charles Dodson. Nancy loved being outdoors and greatly appreciated the natural world around her. She loved the mountains and enjoyed both the scenic views hiking and exploring. She liked to garden and often had surplus to share. Nancy was very skilled and personable and throughout her working life served to distribute medical supplies, worked in banking, and even got her real estate license. She loved animals and adored and greatly missed her dogs, Brittany, Casey, Niko and Buddha. Those remaining to cherish her memory are her sister, Peggy Campbell Hale; aunts, Betty Dalton and Louise Beamer and husband, Carl; uncles, Jack Campbell and C.L. Young; as well as numerous cousins. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Trish Knighton for her kindness, love, and support. The family will welcome friends on Thursday, April 23, 2027, beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, for a time of visitation. Memorial Services will begin at 2:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Heath Rickman and Rev. Tom Clark officiating. Interment immediately following in Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem.
