Evelyn "Beth" "Mimi" Hale

Evelyn “Beth” “Mimi” Hale, 64, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Larry Hale.

Beth was an avid animal lover who found great joy in caring for her pets and feeding the wildlife that gathered near her porch, where she spent much of her time. She was a longtime member of Vinton Weslyan/ Parkway Vinton and took pride in her faith and community. Beth also loved gardening and working in her yard, creating a space that reflected her warmth and care. Above all, she cherished her role as “Mimi,” wearing the title like a badge of honor. Her hugs were legendary, and they will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Larry Hale (Juliette) and Chad Gaddy (Jennifer); her daughter, Tammy Hodges; and her beloved grandchildren, Kaylee Meadows, Haylynn, Ashlynn, and Tyler Gaddy, Taylor Wright, and Dakota Vaughn.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
