Brittany Michelle Nance

Ms. Brittany Michelle Nance, 35 of Mount Airy, passed away on Thursday evening April 23, 2026, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center due to injuries from an unimaginable accident early Sunday morning March 29, 2026. She was born in Surry County on March 16, 1991, to James Michael Nance and Linda Matthews Perkins. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. Brittany is survived by her precious children, Luke Lester and Ariana Lester, her life companion of 14 years, Michael Lester; her father and step-mother, Michael and Karen Nance; her mother and step-father, Linda and Billy Perkins; sisters, Tiffany Nance and Shane Clodfelter, and Chasity and Charles Creed; grandparents, James and Judy Nance, and Jerry and Sandra Matthews; aunts and uncles, Lisa and Timmy Cobler, Amy and Tim Cave, Rick and Gail Nance, and Tonya Helms; her special nieces and nephew, Autumn, Brice, and Reagan; cousins, Jonathan and Amanda Baker, Danielle Brown, Samantha Matthews, and Jeffrey Parrish; her special mother-in-law, Sandra Cain; and her special sister-in-law, Emerald Cain; and many more family and friends. A service of worship and celebration will be held on Monday April 27, 2026, at 2:00pm at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with Minister Michael Nance officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1:00 – 2:00pm. Burial will follow the service at The People’s Church Cemetery.
