Kathryn Louise Brennan

Kathryn Louise Brennan, 81, of Forest, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Born May 24, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Raymond John Decker and Louise Marie Rothermel Decker. Kathryn was a retired retail Supervisor and a member of Oasis Church in Monroe, VA.

Kathryn enjoyed bowling, being a grandmother, and baking, especially peanut brittle and poppyseed bread, which were loved by anyone who tried them. She was described as being strong and independent and showed her resilience while persevering through many medical challenges in her life.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell G. Brennan; and her two brothers, Ron and Bob Decker.

Kathryn leaves behind her beloved children, Michael Brennan (Monica) and Terri Brooks; three grandchildren, Michael Brennan, Jr. (Courtney), Elizabeth Brennan and Johnluke Brennan; one sister, Marge Wilcox (Mark); and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Oasis Church, 165 Melody Ln, Monroe, VA 24574 at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 9,2026 with Rev. George “Bubba” Rose officiating.
