Rita Kelly Farley

Rita Jean Kelly Farley, 83, widow of Damon E. Farley, gained her wings and went home on Saturday, April 25, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Paul Franklin Kelly, Sr. and the late Mary Evelyn Darnell Farley. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Albert “Johnny” Kelly.

She will be missed and remembered by her daughter, “Ann” Annette Farley McGuire (Sam Widener – “the son I never had”); grandchildren, Brandy McGuire (Tommy Bishop), Marcia Farley, Terry McGuire (Kristina); great-grandchildren, Connor Bishop and Landon Bishop; brother, Paul Franklin “Frankie” Kelly, Jr. (Lyn); sister, Brenda Joyce Kelly Moore.

Rita was a member of Fort Lewis Baptist Church in Salem and was retired. She always had a close relationship with all of her sisters-in-law.

Graveside services will be held at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, VA at a later date and will be announced by Simpson Funeral Home.
