Randolph Grant Midkiff
Randolph “Randy” Grant Midkiff, 94, of Roanoke, VA passed away April 27, 2026.
Born February 22, 1932, in Springton, WV, Randy graduated high school & moved with his wife to Salem, VA. He retired from General Electric and was a proud member of the Cave Spring Volunteer Rescue Squad, given Life Membership in 1977.
He is survived by his daughter Vickie Arnold (Richard), son Jeffrey Midkiff (Melissa), granddaughters Rebekah Craft (Mac) and Kaitlyn Campbell (Joshua), great-granddaughters Madison & Abiail Craft, numerous nephews, nieces, & cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Agile & Verlie (McComas), wife Barbara (Vest), son Bruce, brother Gene, & sister Deanna (Arthur).
He is remembered & missed for his love of his family, Blue Grass music, gardening, camping, woodworking, and his ability to make people laugh, & always feeling “purdy good”.

A funeral service will be held at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, Virginia, on May 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and again on Monday at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
A luncheon will be held at the Cave Spring Rescue Squad, 3206 Valley Forge Avenue, Roanoke, Virginia 24018, following the committal.
