Mary Conti

August 25, 1942 - April 28, 2026

Mary Conti, 83, of Port St Lucie, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. The youngest of four children, Mary was born in the Bronx, New York on August 25,1942 to Patrick and Mary McGill. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Vincent (Vinny) Conti; her parents; and three older brothers, Frank, Jerry, and Chuck.

Mary was a devoted wife and an incredible mother to three daughters who adored her. Time spent with family and dear friends brought Mary endless joy, with some friends becoming the sisters Mary had always longed for. For many years she enjoyed traveling with family and friends, always ready for the next adventure with her dear husband Vinny by her side. Mary always took the time to appreciate the small moments in life, often commenting with her favorite saying, “This is the Life” to remind us that time spent with those we love are the most important moments in life.

Florida was Mary’s home for over 40 years, and she cherished the lovely home she built with her husband Vinny. As time passed, she was further blessed to have several close family members follow her to Florida where they remained closely connected. Mary’s devotion to family was evident throughout the many years she cared for her dear mother, in addition to more than a decade spent lovingly caring for Vinny who suffered a debilitating illness.

Spending time with family at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia became a treasured annual tradition. Mary enjoyed a special bond with her grand-dog Cooper and spent many pleasant hours watching the boats and fishermen on the lake with Cooper snuggled up beside her.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Hendren (Robert), with granddaughters, Kelsie Hendren and Jenna Hendren; daughter, Denise Eggers (James), with grandson Matthew Raynoha and with great-grandson Mason Raynoha and great-granddaughter Emma Raynoha and grandson Kyle Raynoha; daughter, Carolyn Upham, with granddaughter Amanda Jordan Upham and grandson Zachary Upham; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She will be deeply missed.

The family is sincerely grateful for the exceptional care Mary received from the home health team of Good Samaritan Hospice. Their support has been invaluable to the family. A heartfelt thanks also goes out to the amazing staff at the Sheila S. Strauss Hospice House for the genuine kindness shown to the family and the loving care provided to Mary.

The family will have a private celebration of Mary’s life at a time to be determined later this year.
