Michael Buckner

Michael Buckner, of Roanoke, was called home on Friday, May 1, 2026. He was preceded in death by his son, Lamont West; daughter, Carissa Steger; parents, Harold and Isabelle Buckner; brothers, Harold Buckner Jr., Larry Buckner, and Earnest Leon Buckner; and sisters, Regina Cooper and Carlene Buckner.

Michael is survived by his sons, Demetrius Jones, Tuwambae Giavonni Hood, and Kevin Mann; daughters, Rhonda Preston, Stacie Andrews, Tei Mann, Monique Mann, Myisha Mann, Martika Mann, Ashley Lauro, and Tiffany; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and siblings.

Michael was a pillar of the community, and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 3:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA 24019.

He will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and love shared with family and friends. He touched many lives and leaves behind cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
