Joyce Morgan Carr
Joyce Morgan Carr, 83, born on September 8, 1943, to Raymond Milton and Dorothy Dillion Morgan, peacefully passed away on April 29, 2026, surrounded by love and the warmth of her cherished family. Joyce's life was a vivid tapestry woven with love, creativity, and an unwavering zest for exploration.
Joyce was the beloved wife of Donald "Gene" Carr, with whom she shared an extraordinary 66 years of marriage. Together, they embarked on countless adventures, their spontaneous road trips often leading to unexpected destinations and creating a lifetime of cherished memories. Joyce and Gene were not just partners in love but also in creativity. Her artistic flair and keen eye for design found a perfect match in Gene's skillful craftsmanship. Together, they lovingly remodeled homes, transforming them into spaces that were as warm and inviting as Joyce's radiant smile and piercing blue eyes.
A dedicated grandmother, Joyce's heart swelled with pride as she watched her grandchildren, Samuel Carr and Alexandra Clark, grow and flourish. She was a constant presence at their sports and school events, cheering them on with the same enthusiasm she brought to every aspect of her life. Her love for animals, from domestic pets to farm animals, was profound; she found solace and companionship in their presence, a testament to her nurturing spirit.
As we mourn the loss of Joyce, we take solace in knowing that she is now in the loving embrace of her Creator, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and adventure will continue to inspire all those who were blessed to have known her. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace until we are reunited with her once again in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Amen.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Joyce’s life and legacy, allowing her family the space to remember and celebrate her in a manner befitting the extraordinary woman she was. Though the ceremony is private, the family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out with love and support during this time.
