Bobby Wayne Maiden

Bobby “ Big Bob” Wayne Maiden Sr., 82, of Roanoke County, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Blanche Maiden; and brothers, L.E. Maiden, Doug Maiden, and Jackie Maiden.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Jaunita Maiden; sons, Bobby Wayne Maiden Jr. (Carlene) and Timothy Ray Maiden Sr. (Bethany); grandchildren, B.W. Maiden III, T.J. Maiden Jr. (Chelsea), Amanda Maiden, Katie Vugdalic (Ersan), and Chloe Maiden; great grandchildren, MacKenzie Maiden, Brock Maiden, Brynleigh “Miss B” Maiden, Damion King, Elijah, Jeanette “Jaz”, Leila Vugdalic, and Namir Vugdalic; great great granddaughter, Loretta Lynn King; brothers, Johnny Maiden (Linda) and Gary Maiden (Pat); sister, Peggy Wright; and special sister-in-law, Mary Justice.

Bobby was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a great love of bluegrass music and loved playing the guitar and singing. He enjoyed playing music every week with his special group of friends. Bobby was a master angler, master technician, amazing business owner, and role model to his family, friends, and community. Most of all he was a loving husband, to his beautiful wife who he called Clack. They were married for 65 wonderful years.

The family will have a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 2:00pm at Ridgewood Baptist Church, 703 Hemlock Road, Roanoke, VA 24017 officiated by Pastor Dan Carawan.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the SPCA or Angels of Assisi in memory of his loyal cats.
