Ellen Doss Stowe

Ellen Doss Stowe, 85, of Appomattox, Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at Babcock Manor.
Born in Appomattox, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George Burrell Doss and Vernon Victoria Stanley.
Ellen is survived by her two children, Rhonda Seay of Madison Heights and James "Randy" Johnson (Sandra) of Rustburg. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Sheila Seay and Michelle Richardson, as well as five sisters.
She is also survived by her two sisters, Wanda Cooter (Steve) and Dale Wells, both of Appomattox, Virginia.
Ellen will be remembered for her love of family and the many memories shared with those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, May 21, 2026, in Liberty Cemetery with Kent Hancock and Antwione Morgan officiating.
