Gwendolyn Faye Ligon

Gwendolyn Faye Ligon, age 91, of Danville, Virginia passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, at Roman Eagle Rehab & Health in Danville.

Ms. Ligon was born on September 5, 1934, in Virginia to the late Virginia Bigger East and John Robert East.

Faye spent most of her life in Danville where she was a Teller for BB&T bank.

Ms. Ligon is survived by her daughter, Ashley Lovelace (David) and grandchildren, Zack and Andrew Lovelace.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald Eugene Ligon; son, Stephen Scott Ligon; and brother, Dempsey East.

A private graveside service for the family will be conducted at a later date at Danville Memorial Gardens.
