Nancy Robertson Phelps

Nancy Robertson Phelps, 78, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, surrounded by her family. Nancy was born in Danville, VA on December 6, 1947 to the late Rachel Toledo Callahan Robertson and the late Grover Hedrick Robertson. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of many years, Mr. Curtis Martin Phelps.

Nancy was of the Christian Faith and a longtime member Welcome Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years, sang in the choir, and played the piano. She worked for over 40 years as a Medical Coder for Danville Regional Medical Center, previous to her retirement. Nancy was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother to her entire family, that she dearly loved.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by two sons; Michael Phelps (Tara) of Axton, VA and Keith Phelps (Jennifer) of Brosville, VA; six grandchildren; Kylie, Kade, Kole, Taylor (Wilson), Tanner (Sarah), and Jake Phelps (Maddie); and her special longtime friend, Myra Keatts.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Danville/ Pittsylvania County Cancer Association at 223 Riverview Drive, Suite J, Danville, VA 24541.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 11:00am at Norris West End Chapel, Danville, VA with Pastor Jeff Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held just prior to the service from 10-11:00am, also at Norris West End Chapel, Danville, VA. At other times the family will receive friends and family at the residence.
