Joyce M. Davis

Joyce M. Davis, 78, of Ridgeway, VA passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Stanleytown Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 7, 1948, in Henry County, VA to the late Algie Rigney Hankins and Edward Hankins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Davis; son, Thomas Merricks; sister, Christine Moore; and her brothers, Clay Hankins, Herman Hankins, John Sam Hankins, and James Hankins.

Ms. Davis was a member of County Line Christian Church and owned County Line Elder Care. She devoted her life to helping others, with a heart centered on compassion and caregiving.

She is survived by her sister, Judy Roland; sisters-in-law, Janice Hankins, and Debbie Hankins; grandchildren, Cory Scott Merricks (Kerry), Skyler Marie Merricks, and Macie Ann Merricks; step-granddaughter, Jacie Lewis; great-grandchildren, Devon Merricks, Bryce Merricks, and Holden Merricks.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Norris Funeral Services with Ministers Dean Ashby and Tim Maness officiating. Burial will be held privately.
