Jerry Ray Munn

Jerry Ray Munn, 63, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on June 9, 2026, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on November 11, 1962, Jerry was the son of the late Curtis Munn and Jessie Munn.

Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness and unwavering love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him. He cherished the time spent with his loved ones and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and dedication.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Catherine Cain and his brother Dennis Munn. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Cynthia W. Munn; his son, Jonathan Munn (Abigail); his daughter, Ashley Oakes (Ryan); five beloved grandchildren, Kayla, Alexis, Cadence, Aamir, and Aaliyah; one great-grandchild Madelyn; two brothers, Eddie Munn and Milton Munn; and his special friend, Jake Richardson.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 12 noon at Bassett Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be private.

Though Jerry's presence will be deeply missed, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. The family appreciates the thoughts, prayers, and expressions of sympathy during this difficult time.
