Martha Louise Brown Leonard

Martha Louise Brown Leonard, 90, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on Friday, May 1, 1936 to the late Frank Edward Brown & Ellen Wheeler Brown. She is also preceded in death by several loved brothers & sisters.

Martha loved to crochet, work in her flower garden & take care of others.

Surviving is her daughter, Tammy Bowyer; son, Terry Leonard; grandchildren, Matthew Bowyer, Lindsey Washington (Brandon), Jessy Leonard, Rose Leonard; great-grandchildren, Lillian, Vivian & Violet Washington; special thanks to her nieces that helped take care of her, Kathy Kidd & Debbie Kirkwood; as well as numerous other nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
